
Shirley Jean Henshaw passed away on Saturday, August 27. She was born in Los Angeles to Shirley Bradley Clements and E. Eugene Clements. She and her husband, Willoughby E. Henshaw, celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary in April, a few months before her death. She gave 39 years of service to the people of the United States as an Evaluation Officer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Her evaluation duties took her to FAA facilities throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. She was also in charge of training new evaluators and overseeing their field evaluations. Shirley had one daughter Terese Ann Nunez who predeceased her in 2009. Shirley is survived by her husband, Willoughby (Bill) Henshaw, her son-in-law Pedro (Peter) Nunez; her grandchildren: Joseph Alan Nunez and Jonathan Michael Nunez; along with her brothers: Wayne and Gerald Clements. She is also survived by two nephews, two nieces, one grand niece and two grand nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA on Friday, September 2, at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
