Sister Madeline Clancy, C.S.J. age 96, passed away on Monday January 10, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. Born July 12, 1925 in San Francisco California, a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet since March 19, 1947. Sister Madeline spent the majority of her life in education as a high school science teacher, Dean of Studies, high school principal, and Diocesan Superintendent of Schools. Her last “official” ministry was at Carondelet Center as a valued member of the Finance Office. Throughout her life she ministered as an active and compassionate listener, life coach, cheerleader, and community builder.
She is survived by her nieces Madeline Battari and Kathleen Clancy, Jim Waechter and many grand nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Zoom, February 2, 2022. At 2 pm/ A link will be available on February 1st, by contacting smninteman@csjla. Graveside service will be held July 12, 2022 10:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA.
