Sister Patricia Mary Supple

Pat Supple was born in Los Angeles and was educated by the CSJs at Transfiguration School, St Mary’s Academy and the Mount. After graduating St Mary’s, Pat entered community in 1952 and received the name, Sister Michael Patrick, which she kept until 1981 when she returned to her Baptismal name.

In addition to her degrees from the Mount and the University of Maryland, Pat studied in Rome, Italy in 1984. She described it as a “marvelous year spent studying and traveling. Scripture was never the same for me after visiting the Holy Land.”

In her many years of ministry in the LA Archdiocesan Office of Education, and interacting with state and federal school officials, Pat was known for her unstinting service to improve the quality of life for children.

We remember the way she strived for excellence, was humble, gentle, hard-working, friendly and joyful. We thank her for her seventy one years of life as a Sister of St. Joseph; we will miss her.

A funeral service for Sister Patricia will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 10AM at Carondelet Center, 11999 Chalon Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90049. Following the funeral service will be a reception at the Carondelet Center then a graveside Committal service at 1:30PM at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 5835 W Slauson Ave, Culver City, CA 90230.
