Steve grew up in Gardena. He graduated from Carson High School. He had a love for all sports. His favorite teams were the Dodgers, the Lakers and UCLA. Steve enjoyed going to the movies with his brother Jerry and nephew Steven. He also loved going out to eat. Steve was a kind and caring brother and uncle.
Steve worked for McDonnell Douglas for many years. He also worked for Federal Steel until he became ill.
Steve is survived by his brother Jerry (Denise) Ruiz of Compton, sister Diana Ruiz and nephew Steven of Wilmington, niece Jasmine Ruiz (Nathan), two great nieces, Monica and Mia and one great nephew, Donald Barajas of Gardena.
He will truly be missed, but never forgotten. He is forever in our hearts. We love you, Steve.
Services will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions - McMillan Center in Gardena. Reception immediately following service.
