Steven Michael Straley

Steven M. Straley, husband, father, friend, departed on March 29, 2024. He was 74 years old. Steve leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever reside in our hearts.

Born in Fort Payne, Alabama on May 11,1949, Steve moved to Los Angeles when young and went on to complete his degree at UCLA. Working at a small technical training firm, Steve charged through progressively more responsible positions to become Group Creative Supervisor at a billion-dollar advertising agency. In his career Steve mentored many. To work with Steve went much deeper than improving one’s career, he made people better, doing so without any sense of ego, always leading by example.

Steve’s open personality drew people to him resulting in many personal and deep friendships lasting a lifetime.

Steve had a yearning for adventure and later in life became an avid traveler, leading family and friends to places unknown where he gained knowledge about life and the world.

In his final moments, Steve was surrounded by his devoted family and friends, in the presence of those who cherished him dearly.

Steve will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife Lotus, a devoted father to his son Shane, brother to Jaci and Jeannie and a loyal friend to many.

Despite his passing, Steve’s spirit will continue to walk among us, shine brightly, and guide us with love and wisdom. Rest in peace, dear Steve. You will be loved and missed forever.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, April 27, at Torrance Beach, where friends and family will come together to honor his passing and share memories of his amazing journey.
