Susan Zotti

Susan Bernadette Zotti, nee Gniewek, a long-time resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, passed away in her sleep on Sunday December 8, 2019 in Torrance, California. Born on November 16, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, Susan just turned 73 when she died. Susan was the loving mother of James (Cathy) Zotti and Caryn Gilley; doting grandmother of Michael (Mimi), Jeffrey, Brian, Adam and Anthony; former wife and good friend of Gene Zotti; cousin of Arlene Wroblewski and aunt of Larry Shell, Laura Cruz, Leighton (Sabine) Shell and Louis (Angela) Shell. She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Jolly" and Mary Gniewek, and her sister, Leona "Lee" Shell.

Susan was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time and traveling with her family as she coordinated many family trips with them from summers in Kauai, to ski and snowboarding trips in Mammoth, to cruises to Europe, the Caribbean, and Cuba. She took pride in spending all of her holidays with her children, especially Christmas. Susan was also an avid bowler, belonging to an international bowling league with her former airline industry friends. Her bowling and her love for traveling took her to many places as she had traveled to over 50 countries. Susan will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren, all who idolized her, as well as by her family and friends.

There will be no viewing. A Service will be held at St. John Fisher Catholic Church located at 5448 Crest Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275, on Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00 am. With Lunch Reception to follow at Misto Caffe and Bakery at 1pm at 24558 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance, CA 90505.
