October 21,1917-May 13, 2016
Tana Jackson lived in San Pedro most of her 98 years. She was one of five
children raised by Andriana and Spiro Rafalovich of Serbia, in the former
Yugoslavia. Tana's great sense of humor, engaging smile and outgoing
personality were well known. As an active member of the 'Y', Tana swam
almost daily for over 30 years and she played sports, particularly racket ball,
well into her 70s. Such an active life-style certainly contributed to her
longevity. For much of her adult life, she cared for her mother and worked for
her brother's accounting business. To see her out at the clubs dancing three
times a week with her long-time love Blackie (Johnny to family) Zorotovich was
magic. Tana was cremated and her ashes spread in the Pacific. She will be
missed by her many friends and surviving six nieces.
