Ted was preceded in death by his Son Michael, his brother Paul and his Parents Howard and Rita. He is survived by his wife Judith Grau (nee Skidmore) of Lake Elsinore, Sister Patricia Starr of Canton, Ohio, Son Jeffrey Grau of Manhattan Beach, Daughter Michelle Mora (Richard) of Lake Elsinore, 5 beautiful Grandchildren (Ryan, Jacob, Camille, Ashley and Hailey) and his beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ted was born on December the 19th in Canton, Ohio to Howard & Rita (Bambeck) Grau. On April 4, 1970 he married Judy, the love of his life and they moved cross-country to California. He worked for many years in the Auto Industry before his retirement. Ted and Judy were blessed with 3 children and had just celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary.
Ted had a passion for life. He loved old cars. He loved sports, particularly cheering his children on at the ball field. His greatest gift was his wit. He could dissolve a room into hysterical laughter with one quick quip. He liked making others smile. He was a member of the Elks Lodge both in Culver City and Torrance where he lived for many years. Some of his best times were spent with friends there. You would often find him manning the grill for the weekly steak fry or in his later years hanging out with the guys for an afternoon of cards or shuffleboard.
A Mass is scheduled for 2:30 PM Saturday May the 2nd at St Margaret Mary Alacoque Church in Lomita (25511 Eshelman Ave. Lomita CA 90717), with a reception to follow at the Torrance Elks Lodge.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ted's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Parkinsons and Movement Disorder Foundation at pmdf.org.
