Webster Perry Dalton was born August 30, 1936 in Huntington Park, California and passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on September 19, 2025 in Torrance, California. He was predeceased by his parents, Stuart and Helen; his brothers, Donald and Barry, and his sister, Patricia. Web leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 68 years, Cathie; daughters Debbie, Della, Darlene, Donna and Denise (Casey); thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren (with another due in April 2026); numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws...as well as an extremely large number of friends. Web was a devout Catholic attending Saint Lawrence Martyr Church for over 60 years, proud U.S. Navy Veteran and highly active member of Alcoholics Anonymous approaching his 53rd year on October 13th. He was a true, dedicated friend and great source of support to anyone going through a difficult time.
Strong, brave, handsome, God-fearing and thoughtful, he was a man’s man—yet his greatest strength was the tenderness with which he loved his family. To his daughters, he was both a protector and a teacher. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was an adventurer, a hero, and a steady presence of love. To Cathie, he was everything.
He lived without fear, gave without hesitation, and loved without limit. Right up to the end, he remained vibrant, healthy, and steadfast in both body and spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, faith, honesty, humor, service, and love that will live on in the countless lives he touched.
To know him was to be blessed. He will be profoundly missed but his spirit, laughter, smile and example will never be forgotten. Heaven's gain will be our loss but only temporarily. Let prayer be your Sword and Virtue your Shield.
And as he returns to the light he so freely gave, may we carry forward his love, his faith, and his tireless grace - for in every soul he touched, he lives on.
