I have known Wendy Reagers for 30 years, ever since we met at Will Rogers Elementary School. At that time, I had two children attending the school. I recall a specific incident when I received a call to pick up my kids after a fight during lunch. Mrs. Reagers witnessed my son Andrew protecting my daughter Andrea under some bleachers, so she opened the gate to help them. 

During our conversation, Mrs. Reagers mentioned that many students were foster children. I told her that while I empathized with their situation, my main concern was the safety of my children, who were not in foster care. I remember Mrs. Reagers looking at me and saying, "I respect that, Mrs. Martinez." that's how a beautiful friendship began.

Not too long ago Mrs. Reagers told me that she had cancer my heart dropped she told me she was a very reserved woman and you Gabby are as raw as I am people have told me in the past Wendy just because it's true it doesn't need to be said we both said at the same time we both said well thank God I'm not you. 
We couldn't stop laughing.

I have so many memories of my sister we would camp we would fish we would plant our vegetable gardens. She taught me how to defend myself and throw a right hook, 🥰 from Rancho Dominguez to Torrance to Lawndale to Quail Valley to lake Elsinore . She showed me how to fish for tuna how to properly bait a hook to catch that cat fish She lived life to the fullest ❤️When my children were little she would watch them every summer and teach them the same things. Nothing comes before God and family. I miss her.

Aunt Wendy you were one of the sweetest,kindest, persons to ever be a part of my life. Your smile and laugh were so beautiful and contagious. Im so thankful to have had the pleasure of being in your company. You listened to me when no one else would. and always gave me a little guidance. Your love, kindness and humor lives on through your children, who I love dearly. I miss sitting with you on the porch and just talking. Or riding on the freeway between Riverside and Torrance and talking to you. You are in my heart and so many people's hearts. I'll never forget that night fishing on the beach with you when I was a kid. I was reeling like crazy and after awhile you said "Charlie where's that dang fish?!" You realized I was reeling out line and started laughing your ass off. You yelled reel the other way in between laughing. That is one of my favorite memories. Some of the best cruises I went on was sitting on the wheel well in the back of the Suzuki. I love you Aunty. Your loving and greatful nephew Chucko

I have so many great childhood memories with you, Uncle Kirk, Mitzi, and Jeremy. Thank you for all of those memories. I’m thankful we got to talk and spend a little time together. That little time was a precious moment.

We love you Auntie Wendy. There is no one quite like you. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
