
Employed as Dental Assistant with Dr. W.W. Brown and as a Secretary with Union Carbide Company in Niagara Falls.
Agnes was always very active in giving of herself to many causes throughout her long life, most recently the St. Anthony’s Villa Bargain Store. She was always on hand to help out and inspired many others to do the same in her lifetime. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Traverse City and resided at Hope Village Assisted Living facility in Williamsburg, Michigan until her passing. Agnes was the type of person who cannot be replaced and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her children: William J. Hayes Jr. of Springfield GA, Mary (Hayes) Noonan of Skookie, IL, John Hayes of Traverse City, MI, Peter Hayes of Spring Hill, TN, and many nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Captain William J. Hayes; children: Maureen
Kracht, Barbara Miller, Michael Hayes; Siblings: James Maloney, Mary Maloney Murtaugh, Catherine
Maloney Supple, Margaret Maloney Young , Martin Maloney , Cornelius Maloney.
She was interred at the Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, New Hampshire next to her daughter Maureen on September 1, 2012. As there was requested to be no official ceremony and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Michigan in her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City.
