Lynn was a natural leader whose winning presence allowed her to take control of various situations with ease. Equipped with a clear and calculating focus, she possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. She had the ability to make even routine situations seem exciting, and she was at ease with the role of playing problem solver. Lynn always sought out a scene where the action was. Sociable, analytical and pleasant, Lynn was an individual who enjoyed life's challenges.
Her parents were George and Laura Ross. Lynn was raised in Savannah Georgia and Cleveland Ohio. Always able to express herself well, Lynn possessed strong interpersonal skills. She was optimistic in her outlook on life and was able at all times to be open and direct in her communication. Armed with a great wit, Lynn was raised to be accepting of others and to implement a strong personal work ethic.
Blessed with a balanced attitude, Lynn was able to relate well with others. Her occasional role as family mediator gave her the opportunity to ease tense situations when they occurred. Lynn was raised with one brother, George R. Ross III. Lynn had a strong desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer others the same fairness in return. Lynn rarely talked about herself but one recurring thing she brought up was a story about her brother Rutty. He loved chemistry and as we all know he grew up to be just that a chemist but not before he tried various potions at home. One such afternoon, left to his own demise there came a sudden thunder, followed but a gust of wind and Rutty being thrown out the door. The entire kitchen had blown up leaving Rutty's barely hurt, his eyebrows only singed. She laughed about this right up to the few days before she went home to be with the Lord. Rutty left patents for applications to tires that prolong their wear. He had contracts with Goodrich and other tire companies. She loved her brother more than he ever knew, she felt he was like a twin and she admired his brilliance. Sadly he passed only a few months before her. We don't believe this was coincidence.
As a young child, Lynn showed her creative ability in many ways. She was outgoing and animated. Lynn enjoyed new activities and pursued a variety of interests. She took part in swimming, and dance. She was a Girl Scout. In her spare time she enjoyed making doll clothes and jewelry with grandma Ross.
