There are no new words 
to comfort you
in such a  loss.
But underneath the words,
there are deep feelings…
you are cared for warmly,
you are thought about often,
and you are wished the peace
of treasured memories

I did not know Helen that long or spend that much time with her, but it did not take long to know she was a wonderful caring person. It always warmed my heart when she would bring Mary Jane to Becky Thatchers. She was a great friend to anyone who was open to her. She will be greatly missed.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts prayers and memories of my Mom, Helen. They are a great source of comfort to my Dad and I.

I was only 7 years old when Grandma Kuchar baby sat for Helen, her brother & sister. I grew up with the 3 of them. Helen, Joe & Carole called my mother Grandma. I started calling her Grandma too. So people started thinking she was my grandma instead of my mother. I remember having fun playing and growing up with you. You will be remembered in my thoughts & prayers.  Aunt Jackie

Helen and I knew each other such a short time but from the beginning, we connected.  Each time we did get together, I was blessed by her warm heart and humor.  Her goodness just shone from within.  While I am so shocked and saddened that she has left us, I am so grateful for the time we had together.  My deep condolences to Ken and Erik, as well as her many grieving friends.

Ken and Erik:  I have never met you but you must be special if you were in Helen's life.  She was a very special cousin to me.  I loved her smile, her laugh, her personality and her spunk.  She was so much fun to be around.  Even though we haven't seen each other in a very long time, she was a special part of my life.

Helen was a wonderful friend and co worker. Her personality was amazing. She was so much fun to be around and laugh with. All of our years at the yarn shop working together, helping others. Helen was a very giving person. She will be missed!

I first met Helen when we had exercise class together.  We would go out for a cup of coffee afterwards and share a donut and laugh.  Some people come into our lives and are a shining light and you never forget them.  Helen was such a person and I will miss her.

Ken and Erik,  Helen was such a giving and warm person,  always willing to help someone in need, always ready with a smile.  She was so talented and I was always so impressed with her knitting skills especially. She helped me many a time.  We will all miss her, she was an amazing woman!

Ken & Erik: Helen will be remembered by all her quilting friends here in Empire.  She was so much fun to be around.  Her smile and laugh kept us all in a happy mood.  We know she is now in a better place.

So sad that Helen has left this earth but know she is with the Lord.  I only had a short time with Helen while working at the Black Swan. She was welcoming, helpful and fun to be with. She will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

Ken and Eric, Im so sorry for the lose of Helen! She was and is an amazing woman. We would laugh so much! Helen was and will always be an remembered! Im shocked that she was taken from us so soon. But i was with her when her Mother passed and now they are together! Love to you all!

Oh! Ken & Erik, what can we say. Helen was a wonderful person.  Always fun to be with. Even after her stroke her smile just warmed your heart.  We loved our visit with her this summer and seeing you all out at Cracker Barrel after her therapy. She was always an up person and we will miss her very much.

Helen spent a lot of time with my Dad, Robert Kuchar Sr. He enjoyed her company very much and looked forward to her visits. As a child, so did I. She was my cool older cousin and I looked up to her. My prayers are with her family now so that they may know peace.

My sister, Helen, the middle child in our family, was always the most adventurous and sociable. She made friends easily and she always shared them with me, the quiet one. As her big sister (by only 15 months) we were kind of competitive, but as adults, we were close friends. I can't think of anyone more loving and giving than Helen. When I moved to the west coast we didn't see each other very often, but we spent hours laughing together on the phone. My sons loved their Aunt Helen. When we were able to get together in Michigan or in California, my boys and Erik always began playing and clowning around together as if they were old friends. After Helen's stroke this year, I needed to be with her; I wanted to cheer her on in her recovery and to keep her company, and give Ken a little respite time. Helen was amazing; she worked so hard and earnestly on her recovery that eventually she was able to walk short distances with only a cane for support. But the greatest benefits were mine because our relationship deepened. I'll always treasure those visits because I was able to be a true sister to Helen, and we connected more closely than we ever could on the phone. I'll cherish our conversations and hugs for as long as I live. I miss Helen but I know that she'll always be with me in my memory and in my heart.
