Janet Louise Brigham

Janet was born on May 15, 1952 in Traverse City, the daughter of Charles and Nettie (Russell) Keusch. She was a member of GTBOCI and as the “life of the party”, she enjoyed entertaining. Janet was overwhelmingly generous and very loving. She was always trying new recipes, weaving baskets, and beading necklaces. Janet will always be remembered as a classy and well-dressed woman with a great sense for interior design.

Our Funny Girl will be truly missed by all who have had the great opportunity to meet her. Janet is survived by her mother, Nettie Keusch; sisters, Peggy (Ken) Roush, Jo Keusch, and Judi (Gregg) Blackmer; niece, Meegan Eager; special nephew, Jon Throop; great-nieces and nephews, Jenifer, Jayson, Courtney, Christopher, and Jayde; and several aunts and uncles.

Preceding her in death are her father, Charles Keusch and her nephew, Russell McCaffrey.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City with visitation starting at 10 am until the time of service. Deacon Mathew Lyberg will preside over the service. After cremation, Janet will be buried at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
