Linda L. Holihan

Linda L. Holihan, age 60 of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at her home. She was born June 9, 1950 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Donald and Doris (Cramer) Forman. Linda graduated from Pine River High School and earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Ferris State University.

Linda worked as a registered nurse at Mecosta County Medical Center for over 35 years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Campus Parish in Big Rapids.

Linda will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother; she was affectionately known as “Munga” by her grandchildren.

She is survived by many family members including her three daughters,

Melissa (Douglas) Neubecker of Kalkaska, Jennifer (Joshua) Sheehan of Mesick, Jessica Snavley of Big Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Joslynn, Elizabeth and Jason Neubecker; Brenna and Lillian Sheehan; Andria, Jonathan and Mason Snavley. Linda is also survived by her father, Donald (Mary) Forman of Sparta; 3 sisters, Tam, Connie and Jo; 5 brothers, Lee, Dale, Doug, John and Cecil; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Bowen and her grandmother, Iva Cramer.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Paul’s Campus Parish in Big Rapids with Father Lam T. Le officiating. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to her funeral. The family will greet friends at the Daggett-Gilbert Funeral Home in Big Rapids on Friday, September 17th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. that evening.

Linda’s Inurnment will be at the Courtland Township Cemetery near Rockford where she will rest with her beloved grandmother, Iva Cramer.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mecosta County Medical Center Foundation in Linda’s name.
