Lorraine M. Murphy

Lorraine graduated from Traverse City High School in 1932. She married Robert Murphy on August 31, 1935. For over 23 years, Lorraine worked as a clerk for Cunningham’s Drug Store. In her free time, Lorraine enjoyed reading, walking, playing cards, dancing, and traveling. She was also one of the first Girl Scouts.

Lorraine is survived by her son Leon Murphy, daughter in law Louise Murphy, son in law Dean Clark, 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Jim Murphy, Richard Murphy, Maralyn Clark, and Wanda Barker, and sister Ester Gray.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 24, 2013 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior, at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
