Patricia Ann Burrows

She was born in Vidalia, GA., the daughter of Alton and Lavert (Paul) Gillis. Patricia lived there with her three siblings, helping to raise them, until she married Robert Burrows on June 14, 1965 in Folkston, GA.

Patricia worked for Prudential Insurance Company, Cherryland Electric Company, and operated a daycare out of her home in Williamsburg, MI., sharing her gift of caring for others. She was a key member of the group responsible for introducing soccer as a varsity sport to Elk Rapids High School. She enjoyed bowling, spending time with family, and cherished weekend fish dinners that she talked about until her last days.

Patricia is survived by her children, Chris (Laurel) Burrows, Clete (Jen) Burrows, and Cheryl (Scott) Goodwin; grandchildren, Paige & Allison Burrows, Hadley, Berkley, & Bryce Burrows, and Scott Jr. & Madison Goodwin; siblings, Linda (Charles ) Vance, Paula Powers, and A.D. (Cheryfa ) Gillis, Jr.; sister in law, Brenda Burrows, and many nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Burrows; parents in law, Max & Gladys Burrows; parents, Alton & Lavert Gillis; brother in law, William Burrows.

In celebration of her life, memorial contributions may be made to Munson’s Hospice House, 1105 6th St, Traverse City, MI 49684

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
