Amy is survived by her father, George Hamby of Lawrenceville; her brothers, Steven (Polly) Hamby of Lawrenceville and Mark Hamby of Hollywood, FL; and several extended family members.
Amy was employed by several Christian Bookstores for over 20 years.
Amy is a graduate of Luther Rice Seminary with a Master's degree in biblical studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercer University in Atlanta.
Amy loved to read and has over 200 Biblical volumes and she was a musical presence at several churches. She also sung with the Michael O'Neil Singers of Roswell, Georgia.
Amy loved God and small animals gifted many of these to foreign churches.
She will be missed greatly by her family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockett Rd., Tucker, GA 30084.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
