Barbara Beckwith Vaughn, 83 of Buford, GA passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Americus, GA 1942, Barbara was devoted to her family, friends, Elvis Presley and the Braves! She loved playing Word Chums with her children and her special time working out and having lunch with her silver sneakers friends. Her love, friendship and caring personality will always be remembered.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Gary Vaughn; her three children, Jan Rabern (Steve), Karen Barber (Jeff) and Michael Vaughn (Angela); three grandchildren; Chad Berchak, Blake Vaughn and Karli Barber; four great grandchildren and three siblings, Pat Giddens, Gordon Beckwith and Jim Beckwith. She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon A. Beckwith Sr. and Eliene P. Beckwith.
There will be a visitation at Floral Hills Funeral Home (3150 Lawrenceville Hwy Tucker GA 30084) on January 6, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm followed by a memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life at 1:00 pm. A reception will be held afterwords from 2-4:00 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
