Carol Ann McBride died January 24, 2021 at her apartment at Brighton Gardens of Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia from complications of COVID. Carol was born April 16, 1935 in Lily Lake, WI to Harold and Magdalen (Kersting) Stine. She graduated from Wilmont High School in 1953. She married James McBride in 1956 and has one daughter, Dr. Colleen McBride. As a wife of a career Army sergeant, Carol spent 20 years living at military bases around the United States including a 3-year stint in Alaska. She returned to WI in 1972, spending the next 24 years as a resident of Twin Lakes, business manager at Johnson's Business Forms, committed leader within BPW, and member of St. John's Catholic Church. In 1996, she and Jim retired to New Bern, NC, spending 17 years there and developing close friendships with many of their neighbors. Carol moved to Atlanta in 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only sister, Eileen Clements, and after 56 years of marriage, her husband Jim. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen, two beloved nieces, Kathy Fosdick and Linda Holmbeck and their children. Carol was a feminist, ardent dog lover, and proud ex- smoker.
