It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Lai-Wah Woo of Norcross, Georgia on May 20,2024 at the age of 84. Christine died peacefully in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Christine was born on May 3, 1940 in China as one of seven children to the late Duck Chung Chin and Ong Sui Ngor Chin. On one of her many trips to New York City, she met the love of her life and married him in July 1961. In 1977, with her family of 6, she relocated to Georgia where she lived out the rest of her life.
Known for her stubborn nature and fiery temper, Christine was never one to back down from a challenge. Her determination and strength were matched only by her boundless love for her family. She had a remarkable ability to think outside of the box and to either repurpose or alter items to suit her needs, whether or not they should be used that way.
Despite her tough exterior, Christine had a beautiful soul and a heart full of love. She cherished her family above all else and it was clear to anyone who watched her with the children. Her generosity, wisdom, and unwavering support will be deeply missed.
