Dorothy Poole

Dot Poole, 93, of Snellville, GA, peacefully passed away on November 22, 2023. Born on March 25, 1930, in Homer, GA, Dot was a humble soul who embodied the virtues of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation. She was a devoted wife, mother, and a faithful servant of God.

Dot's life was a testament to her unwavering faith in God. As a homemaker, she found solace in creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. Her Sunday School teachings touched the hearts of many, guiding them on their spiritual journeys. Dot was also an avid reader, immersing herself in the wisdom and inspiration found within the pages of books.

Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur, GA, was Dot's spiritual home, where she found solace, strength, and community. She worshipped there, embracing the teachings of love, compassion, and service to others.

Dot's legacy lives on through her beloved children, Beverly (Bill) O'Malley, David (Kathy) Poole, and Fred Poole. She was a cherished grandmother to Chelsea (Patrick) Carter, Spencer (Kelly) Poole, and Sydney Poole, and a beloved great-grandmother to Braelyn Hatcher and Ella Rose Carter. Dot's love and guidance will forever be etched in the hearts of her family.

Dot is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Grady Poole, her brother, Glenn Walls, and her grandson, Jackson Poole. They have now reunited in the embrace of eternity.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10am, followed by a service at 12pm at the sacred grounds of Floral Hills Chapel 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy in Tucker, GA. The ceremony will be a moment of reflection, gratitude, and prayer, as we honor Dot's life and offer our final farewells. The graveside dedication will take place at 2:30pm in the serene Yonah Memorial Gardens 255 US-441 in Demorest, GA, where Dot will find eternal rest.
