She was born in Americus, GA the daughter of the late James and Louise Poole.
Mrs. Beckwith was a longtime resident of Decatur and a former member of Scott Blvd. Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon A. Beckwith, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Giddens of Auburn, AL, Barbara (Gary) Vaughn of Burford, GA, Gordon A. (Rena) Beckwith, Jr. of Suwanee, and James (Diane) Beckwith of Snellville; her 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 14 at 2 pm in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Casey Giddens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
