Ellen is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Albert Paul “Bud” Ewing, of Philadelphia, PA who she loved and cared for until his demise in 1998.
She was born on March 28th, 1927 to Emma Langley Patrick and Augustus Edwin Patrick in Byromville, GA and lived most of her life in her beloved home state.
Ellen graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Thomaston, GA.
During World War II, she moved to live with her sister, Louise , in Philadelphia where she later married and lived for two decades.
Ellen was a devoted spouse and mother who enjoyed the fellowship of Embry Hills Methodist Church.
She enthusiastically travelled but will be remembered for her lifelong passions: the board game Scrabble and most of all---the sport of bowling. We will all forever miss her fabulous Thanksgiving turkeys and chocolate chip cookies.
