Mrs. Fay Rebecca Gross of Atlanta, GA, beloved wife and soulmate of Dr. Richard S. Gross for 59 years, passed away Tuesday January 1st, 2019. She is survived by her 3 sons: Bradley Gross, Philip Gross and Gregory Gross, 2 daughter-in-law's: Laura Gross and Lorie Gross, and 4 grandchildren: Gina Gross, Haley Gross, Morgan Poorman and Michael Prewitt and 1 great granddaughter: Ava Danielle Thomas.
Fay was born on June 23rd, 1939 in Johnstown, PA, the youngest of 2 children. She was the proud daughter of Dr. Philip and Mildred Ashman who raised her to be strong willed, compassionate and generous. She selflessly dedicated her life to family, always putting the needs of others first. Nurturing and tough, she valued trust, self-reliance, kindness, honor and a sense of humor. Empathetic and caring, she was always available to lend a sympathetic ear, open her home, or share a meal. She was an avid dog lover who spent her spare time hiking at the park with her dog. She developed many friendships at the park and was a favorite among the dogs who she always greeted with a treat.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday January 10th at 2:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta (http://www.grra.com/donate)
