Prayers go to his family. Lost touch after moving. Mikey was a wonderful person and friend.

I worked with Mike for more than ten years at Year One. I had lost touch after moving and today decided to look at Year Ones facebook page. I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a great person. Mikey was my friend and he will be missed. Ride on buddy.

Mike Smallwood was a great grandfather, father, husband, and son. He always brought energy and laughter into anywhere you might be. He always be remembered in memories we all will carry on inside of our hearts! May your legacy live on forever! RIP Mike!

I hadn't seen Mike since 2005 and bumped into him a couple a weeks ago in Grayson. I thought to myself I really miss seeing him around...I'm glad I got to see him again and am sorry I won't see him again on this earth. I'm sure he's enjoying where he is now. My prayers are with his family and friends.

Dear Lynne and family, My words cannot express how sorry I am about Mike's passing. He was truly a wonderful friend to me. We raced together, laughed together, drank way too much coffee and talked way too long on the phone. My life was made better by Mike Smallwood and I will always be grateful for that.

Prayers to the family. I worked with Michael 15 years and what great times he made them. He was always talking about Lynne and his adventures with his grandkids. Truely an example of a great Man! HUMP Day Wednesday's will never be the same. Rest In Peace Michael :)

It was a pleasure to know, work with and be friends with Mike. He is a genuine good guy, always willing to help, with a positive outlook and a smile.He truly enjoyed life and left an impression on those he met. He will be greatly missed but his new home is beyond belief!

I am so sad to hear this. I have not seen Mike in many years, but we spent many a good time together back when he worked at Epps Aviation. Mike would do anything for a friend, & he was always fun to be around. It was funny when I found out that one of my best friends had worked, & raced with Mike back in the old days. I have missed Mike all these years, wish we could have gotten together one more time. My thoughts & prayers go out to all affected by his passing, & please accept my sincere condolences.

Mike was a great friend and co-worker and never too busy to help someone.  "Yea Buddy", we will miss you.

Mike was my friend and neighbor who I would always walk across the street for advice on just about anything related to cars, motorcycles or lawn and home repairs. We would discuss baseball or racing over a cold beverage. My grandaughter Cayden when she came to visit would always like to say hi to Mike. We will truly miss Mike.

Lighting in memory of a kind and wonderful man. He had a smile for you every time you saw him. My prayers are with the family.

I have had the privilege of working with Mike for the last 8 years. To me, he was a true Southern Gentleman. I will think of him fondly every time I see "strawberry shortcake". That was always his request for his birthday and it meant a lot to me to know how much it meant to him to get it every year. He will be greatly missed.

Always positive and full of joy. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael, aka Scooter, was such a great friend. Always there to assist someone with a question. "The Old Man From The Library" will be missed by many. We will use his sayings for many years to come! What a pleasure to work with Michael for many years and what an honor to call him my friend. Praying for his friends and family!

Lynne - We will miss Mike.  He was one of the happiest people I have had the honor of knowing.  I will fondly remember the times we spent together at motorcycle events and the hard work he put into the Atlanta Motorcycle Club race program at Aonia Pass.  God speed.

As only Michael could say, "whoa,whoa, whoa, the ole man from the library is coming home" !!! Rest in peace my friend.
We lost a wealth of knowledge and a bright and shining employee. I lost a friend! Heaven gained another "soldier".

I've worked with Michael for many years and will miss my dear friend.

Mike was one of the best co-workers & a true friend. He will be greatly missed!

Mike was a friend, mentor, and all around good guy.  He had forgotten more than I ever knew about muscle cars. I will miss his advice, but most of all his friendship.

I worked with Michael for about five years at Yearone. We both were old flat trackers back in the day. He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace Michael. My prayers go out to the family.

Mike was a wonderful person with whom I, along with his wife, Lynne, shared the privilege of being a grandparent to our amazing grandchildren, Anabel, Mady and Dallas. He had a great sense of humor and enthusiasm for everything he did and we will miss his terrific energy and positive outlook.
