Metro Atlanta, Georgia — March 23, 2026 | Age 89
Julie Frances Taylor (Love), age 89, passed away on March 23, 2026, with her beloved daughter Jill by her side.
Julie was born and raised in Marfrance, West Virginia, where she met and married her husband, Robert Franklin Taylor. Together, they built a life marked by service, dedication, and family, spending twenty years as a Marine Corps family. Robert preceded her in death in 2011.
In a remarkable reinvention, Julie began a second chapter in her early forties by becoming a Registered Nurse. She spent her professional years in the emergency and cardiac units of Atlanta-area hospitals, where she was known for her calm strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to patient care.
Julie had a lifelong love of movies—a passion she generously shared with her children. She was also a voracious reader, renowned for her extraordinary reading speed, which never failed to impress those around her. Above all, Julie will be remembered for her generosity and kindness. She was the sort of person who went out of her way for friends without hesitation or expectation.
She carried a deep and enduring love for her sister Irene, whose absence she felt every day; for her younger brother, Robert Leeland Love; and for her eldest son, Robert Brian Taylor, who passed away at the age of twenty-two—a loss no mother should have to endure.
Julie is survived by her four children, Michael (Cindy), Richard (Trish), Jill (Steve), and Jason; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, niece and nephews—the living legacy of a woman who transitioned from homemaker to her family’s primary breadwinner.
She will be dearly missed.
