

Karen is survived by her adopted son, Jason Carnell of Peachtree Corners, his wife Rani and their children Alina and Anisa. She is preceded in death by her mother, Isabelle Carnell Gream, her father James Hoskinson, her husband Douglas Fisher and her biological son, Mark Kuzel.
She graduated from South Dekalb High School in Dekalb, County, GA in 1961. As a teenager, she was moved to the metro Atlanta area and remained here before moving to Pinellas County, FL in 1981 where she remained all the way until 2011. Due to declining health, she moved back to the metro Atlanta area in late 2011 to be closer to her adopted son and his family.
She spent most of her life working as a bookkeeper for various medical and rehabilitation facilities until she went into partial retirement to travel with her husband in the late 1990s.
Karen absolutely loved travel, whether by RV, cruise ship or airplane. She was very social and was usually the life of any party. She visited dozens of countries in her lifetime. Her family and friends will remember her as someone who was able to persevere through the toughest times.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1pm on April 15, 2019 at Section 2A, Lot 379 of Melwood Cemetery at 5170 E Ponce de Leon Ave, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. Flowers may be sent there as well.
