Wow i have not seen Lisa since working at Kaiser back in the 90s.What a fun person she was.We really had alot of laughs back then.She will be missed.I only wish I would have known about her illness.I tried to look her up several times.Then when I tried again tonight I saw this sad news.I know that Lisa is in heaven and I know she is smiling down at everyone .Thats just her.Lisa your friends and family are in my thoughts and prayers....."Jennifer England (Cumming,GA)

I never met Lisa but she stayed on our prayer list at Metro Atlanta YMCA (per Sheree Slaughter). I pray much peace and strength for all her family and friends during this time. I also pray that I can have as much strength and courage as Sheree said Lisa had through my life.

What can I say about Lisa that you all don't already know? Nothing. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all. After her move to GA, I didn't see or talk to her that often, but had no doubt that each time I did, we could pick up where we left off. I feel very fortunate to have been able to call her friend. May God grant her eternal peace.

Lisa will be missed by those whose life she has touched. High school soccer and other activities sure do leave some fond memories. Soccer was fun and a riot for those of us trying to prove we could play. Powder puff football was another memory not worth repeating, but worth the memories.
My thoughts and prayers are extended to her family and friends as I know Lisa left loving memories with all of us.

Lisa, aka P2 (named after the periodic table of elements) was one of my very best friends in high school at Central.  She always had a smile on her face.  She use to have a car (the old Audi) that we put a musical horn in; that played over 50 different tunes including a siren and other songs or notes. We had such fun playing it as we drove down the road.  We also played all kinds of sports together.  Her Dad organized the first Central Women’s Soccer team that at that time was sponsored by Coca Cola in lieu of EVSC.  We would always pick on her little brother Danny.  I remember the Gerritzen’s having an Atari game that we would play the pong tennis on.  We would visit her mom at Readmore as well.  Lisa and I would study, teepee and do other mischievous acts in high school together but we both were good kids with great families.  Whether it was doing hand motions and singing to Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight by the Oak Ridge Boys or jumping on the trampoline at the house, we always had a good time.  Lisa was a year behind me at Central but visited me when I went to college at IU.  We re-connected a few times when I worked in Atlanta from 96 to 1998.  Lisa is a person that touched a lot of individuals lives. If you were lucky enough to know her then I am sure she still does bring a smile to your face. Lisa was a fighter and true gem to know and her life was cut way too short.  My heart is broken but my memories are strong!  Deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Shari and the Gerritzen Family.

I havn't seen Lisa in 25 years but the memories of our times at Stringtown, swimteam, softball and simple good times are still so vivid. Her enthusiasm for life was overflowing and contagious! Know that I am praying for you, Leo, Rita, Steve and Dan.

I'm so sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. I remember her from high school as a sweet and kind person.  My sympathy and prayers to her family.

I will keep the family im my prayers during this trying time.  I lived down the street and graduated with Lisa.  SHe was a wonderfule person and yes, athlete. Lisa is in the perfect place now, another angel to watch over all of us.  God Bless.   Kip

So Sorry to hear of Lisa's passing.  I too, remember Lisa from high school... my prayers go out to her family & friends....

I'm sorry to hear about Lisa. She is part of a wonderful family who will be in my prayers.

We will all miss Lisa; she touched so many of our lives. The hours we all spent at North Park Pool, Lisa became a key player on the Swim team. Her Butterfly stroke was amazing to watch.  I remember when the skateboard was invented- Lisa was a "master". Even the Strafford Road hill was not a threat to her. Campouts in Sheila Johnston's, Laura Additington's and Krista Gerst's backyards were countless hours of fun and laughter with Lisa. I never was able to fully master Lisa's technique of throwing a roll of TP into the highest trees so perfectly! Her smile and soft chuckle will surely be missed-- It was truly a GREAT part of my summertime growing up in North Park. Prayers to her parents;Leo & Rita along with her brothers Steve and Dan.

I WAS SO SAD TO HEAR ABOUT LISA'S PASSING. I WORKED WITH LISA WHEN SHE STILL LIVED HERE IN EVANSVILLE. SHE WORKED FOR  RADIOLOGY AND I WORKED FOR SMMC LAB AND WE SHARED AN OFFICE ON BELLEMEADE. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON. MY SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO HER ENTIRE FAMILY.

My prayers are with the family and friends of Lisa.  I never met Lisa but I prayed for her and knew her through co-worker, (Sheree) in the Metro Atlanta area. I commend her for her faith, strength and courage throughout her battle.
