

Lou Krabe, 83, of Atlanta, GA passed away on January 4, 2021. Born Louis Wayne Crabbe in Hope, Arkansas on June 18, 1937, he was the second son to Lester “Larry” Crabbe and Marjo-Nell Booth. He lived in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana before settling in Atlanta, GA where he owned and operated Strat-A-Gem Wholesale Jewelry. Known for his cooking, his Shrimp Gumbo was always a hit at Super Bowl parties and Georgia Tech tailgates. He was an accomplished singer and could often be seen performing with Bob Fountain and June Dunaphant around Atlanta. Lou also was an avid card player who had weekly games with friends.
Lou is survived by his Daughters Kimberly Krabe Schoolcraft (Husband Brooks) of South Carolina, Kelly Krabe Spiggle (Husband Charles) of North Carolina, and Kristie Krabe Carter (Husband Matthew) of Florida; Son In Law Carl Rapp of Georgia; Grandchildren Jason Schoolcraft (Wife Leah), Rob and Rebecca Rapp, and Caroline and Jackson Spiggle; Great-Grandchildren Seth and Jordan Schoolcraft; Brothers Barry and Harold Crabbe; Sisters Patricia Thompson, Carolyn Allan, Marilyn Blagg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom he always loved seeing at annual Crabbe/Crabb/Krabe family reunions. Lou was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bobbie Sellers Krabe, his daughter Elizabeth Kay Rapp, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Marie Winstel, as well as his parents, his brother Larry “Buster” Crabb, and nephew Gary Crabb.
