

Michael “Mick” Allen Kay, 58, of Tucker, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Born in San Francisco on May 23, 1966, Michael brought joy to every life he touched through his laughter, generosity, and dedication to helping others. His smile would light up any room he entered.
Those who knew Mick will remember him as someone who embraced life, pursuing countless hobbies and dedicating himself fully to all things he enjoyed. His mischievous sense of humor and genuine care for those he loved left everyone who knew him changed for the better. The people who shared in his life and were touched by his love were, without a doubt, among the luckiest in the world.
Mick is survived by his husband Jack Newton, the love of his life; his brothers Bob (Marie) and Trevor (Raquel) Kay; his mother and father-in-law Rebecca and Albert Newton; and his grandmother-in-law Lethia Cannon. He is also survived by his niece and nephews Alyssa Myers (Lauren), Vincent Kay (Taylor), James Kay, Dylan Kay, and his godson, Michael Kay; grand-niece and nephew Ryann and Christiaan Myers; aunts Holly Geneve, Dennise (Eddie) Grotz, Robin (Nick) Spang, Janet Coons, Debbie Hunter, and many cousins throughout California, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. His friends Deanna Van Horn and Michael Stevens held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his mother Delight “DeeDee” Monahan, stepfather Dan Monahan, grandmother Virginia Hunter, and uncles Ted and Rick Hunter.
The story of his life will endure forever through the imprint he made on the people he loved, and the light that he brought into the world will never dim.
