Norma Selena Roussell Cowart passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. Born at Dahlgren Naval Base in Virginia, she loved dancing, gardening, cards, baseball and traveling here and there with family and friends. She took her grandchildren on several trips. She and her family moved to Tucker, Georgia, after her husband retired from the Marine Corps in 1960.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon E. Cowart; her parents, Wilday and Susie Roussell of Dahlgren, Virginia; and her two brothers, Wilday and Alvin Roussell.
Norma is survived by her daughter and son, Annette Burdges and Gary Cowart; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Norma made friends wherever she went, whether it be in the local grocery store, or China. She loved talking with, and learning about people, and enjoyed a rich life.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am on Saturday, April 19, 2025 in the Chapel of Floral Hills
Funeral Home 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy. Tucker Ga 30084. A visitation will follow the services.
