She is survived by her husband Narindera Paul Malik, daughter Pauline Malik, son and daughter-in-law Jimi and Jenny Malik, grandson Noah Malik, and brother Rajinder Mall.
Parveen was born on March 9, 1949 in Ambala Cantt, India to parents Dorothy and Stephen Mall. She graduated from nursing school and worked in Lady Hardinge Hospital in New Delhi before moving to the United States in July 1982. In the US, she worked at Joan Glancy Memorial Hospital and Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville (Now Northside) for the next 15+ years. Upon her retirement from nursing, she pursued and attained her Associate of Arts at Georgia Gwinnett College with a concentration in Psychology.
Parveen was a wonderful wife and mother. She was an optimistic and joyful soul, and a shining light to her family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, spending time with her loved ones, watching the occasional soap-opera, and being present in the moment. She was a life-transformed follower of Jesus Christ for all eternity and strongly believed that He can give you infinitely more than you dared ask or imagine, and is able to calm all the storms of your life. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:34). She trusted this promise fully and enjoyed spending her time with the Lord in peaceful solitude, fellowship, and prayer.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 9-24-22 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Parveen’s life. The family would like to thank all those who were a part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Thank you!
