Paula n Karen were to little beautiful sisters they were very close , Paula was always afraid of Karen, cause Paula was very timid n at one.point Karen fell into a water tank , Paula was historical , calling out to her mom Karen fell in water tank she was so protective of her little sister, n I’ve never forgotten this incidence. I was heartbroken to hear of Paula’s passing. We met at an all girls retreat in Karachi in our teens. We immediately bonded but unfortunately lost touch after we left Karachi, until she visited me in Canada ….about 30 years ago. That was the last I saw of her but I will always remember her infectious laugh and beautiful face.

I’m had the privilege of working with Paula. She was tough. Us older nurses are. We are demanding. And Paula  was a nurse who demanded what we are supposed to do for the patients. She had a lot of experience and worked in two countries so there was no excuses  for Paula. I miss her at the bedside.  I am glad she had time to spread her wings without the burden of nursing however short. But she still supported us by participating in giving and organizing  even when she had retired already! My sincere condolences to Paula’s husband.

March 6th 2024 Heaven gained an Angel. Paula you were always more to me than just my stepmom. The bond I created with you at the age of 5 years old on my very first visit to Canada is everlasting. My Dad has always called me your tail, and he was not wrong, anywhere you went I followed. I loved being around you. When you thought the world was against you I was always by your side. I may have seemed to get annoyed when you would tell everyone the same stories about me over and over again, but as I look back at it you were just proud of me and loved to brag to anyone about anything I have ever done. Whether it’s the way you taught me how to clean and keep everything tidy or the way you taught me the best way to feel better is to go shopping. Because we all know retail therapy is the best therapy. You were placed in my life at a pivotal point. I thank you for helping me become the man I am today. It’s crazy to think I will never hear you scream my name again because of something stupid I had done(If I was in trouble the whole neighborhood would know lol). I promise to be strong for my dad & Sarah just as they will for me. Penelope & Lucas will always know of Grandma through the crazy stories I tell them about you. I am terribly sad that you are gone from this earth, but am relieved that you are at peace and no longer in pain. Thank you for everything. Love you with all of my heart.

Hi my name is Carol Alleyne,  I work with Paula at Wesley woods hospital for over 10 years, my condolences, to you and your family during your lost of Paula,  Paula was a great nurse and friend, I remember one of our patients who was an English teacher, she told Paula why Don't you speak proper English, Paula did not get angry and mad, Paula's response was I speaks the Queen language lol, she had a great sense of humor, I pray that God will comfort you your family and your friends during your lost, he is the greatest comforter and he will wipe away your tears, tears are a language that only God understands he sees your tears and he hears them when they fall God will weep along with you and he will take you by the hand tears are a language that only God understands.
