

Mrs. Reva Gibson Pike passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. The funeral service will be held at Northeast Baptist Church in Doraville on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00am. The Rev. Greg Smith and Rev. Dr. Jim Nelson will officiate.
Mrs. Pike was born in Cookeville, TN in 1922 and was the youngest of eight children. She married the love of her life, Charlie Pike, in 1947 and settled in Owensboro, KY. While in KY, they were blessed with a son, Charlie Pike, Jr. The family moved to Norfolk, VA before settling in Richmond, VA in 1950. While in Richmond, their two daughters, Patty and Angie were born. The family moved to Atlanta in 1970 when Charlie was transferred with the Railroad.
Mrs. Pike was a wife and mother to her family but also loved to volunteer. She served at the Stewart Baptist Center in town, drove Meals on Wheels in the community, participated in the Garden Club, and was a faithful member of Northeast Baptist Church for almost 40 years.
Mrs. Pike is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Charlie E. Pike, and her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie E. Pike, Jr and Cynthia Willoughby Pike. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Pike Carr, (Richard) of Galax, VA, and Angela Pike Baker (Reed) of Norcross, GA, as well as eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA, 30084, as well as an hour prior to the funeral service at the church in the lower level lobby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Mrs. Pike’s behalf to Northeast Baptist Church of Doraville, GA or any charity of your choice.
