Ronald Royden Francisco

FRANCISCO, Ronald Royden of Decatur Georgia (Ron, 89 years), Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, passed away peacefully on Friday October 21, 2022. Born in East Orange, New Jersey on August 2, 1933 to Roy and Marie Francisco, Ron attended Upsala College, where he graduated with Honors. Upon graduating, he joined the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant and was stationed at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, Georgia, where he met his future wife Mary Ann. Ron went on to join National Cash Register (NCR) as a Sales Executive and then joined DeKalb County School System as the Director of Computer Systems (DISPAC), where he retired as the Comptroller after 30 years of service. Ron was a member of North Druid Hills Christian Church, was active in the Kiwanis Club, and was an avid Boater on Lake Lanier. He was deeply loved and respected by his family and friends.

Ron is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Francisco and by four daughters: Brenda Sams (Chris Sams), Linda Hanna Sroufe, Michelle/Mic Bowling (Jim Bowling), and Barbara/Lori Francisco (Robert Taylor). He is also survived by three grandchildren: Michael Sams (Annalee Sams), Beth Sams, and Daniel Hanna.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m, followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Floral Hills Funeral Home (770) 491-3021.
