Ruth Ferguson Roper, 90 of McDonough formerly of Tucker died Tuesday, Oct. 4. She was born in Cornelia, GA the daughter of the late John Login and Ethel King Ferguson. She was a lunchroom manager for Brockett Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hugh Roper. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Long; son, Bill Roper; brother, Donald Ferguson; brother, George Ferguson; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert T. Long officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
