Sally took care of our family's framing for my parents for decades; artwork in the house, framed all of our diplomas.  When I brought in a photo of my father for his funeral table when he died in 2007, she remembered him, framed it beautifully and would not let me pay for it.  She was always cheerful and welcoming, seemed to have a special ability to read people.  She will be missed.

Sally was one of the smartest people I have ever known.  You could always get an honest comment from her, and I looked forward to every visit I made to the shop, and if she was in the back working, I'd always wait for her to come up front.  I didn't want to miss any opportunity to be in her company.  It was guaranteed to be a rich and entertaining conversation!  Oh, how I will miss her.

Sally and I have known each other since Hampton High School and Fort Monroe. She has been my friend for almost 60 years. She will be missed.

Yesterdays memorial service was a warm  and genuine testament of who Sally O Wood was. Each person who shared their memories on Sally's behalf ,"loved the essence of who she was"! Each and every person who spoke echoed the vibrance of what she shared with us I would very much appreciate receiving the poems which were  shared with us at the service.The poems were so touching.The words shared were a  mirror reflection  of Sally! lt was such a moving service. Sally gave me a home for my  my business in her store of which I will be forever grateful.I admired her so much, and always will!  Love,    Nan

Sally always had the most wonderful smile and infectious personality. Each time Matthew and I saw her she was the happiest person in the room.

The most authentic, funny, loving, care taking, artistic spirit. Her friendship was more like family to me and I will miss her greatly. I, and all the others who knew her, were lucky and every day I will be surrounded by evidence of her love as I look at paintings, photographs and prints carefully framed by her exquisite eye.

I met Sally two times with my Marcia, and both times i could tell right away the depth, humor, and strength of her. Her house was full of art, light, nature, and warmth. To raise a Marcia Wood I knew her tree was ripe with sweet, firm apples. I could see where Marcia's grace came from. There are never adequate words to describe a person and all they mean to the world, much less to their loved ones. I count myself lucky to have met her. I know how missed she will be.

Sally Wood was an AMAZING woman! My daughter Mae and I both adored her. She was the most funny and unflappable person, nothing shocked her. I'm so sorry she's gone.

Sally was a true delight to be around. She will be missed  immensely ; Her humor was fantastic . May you  feel God's  loving arms around you  as you walk through these days ahead.. Hopefully the scriptures will give you peace:

Artistically talented, kind, honest, a wonderful listener a creative sense of humor,and poignantly opinionated are but a few of the superlatives that could describe Sally Wood. For me ,her most endearing quality was that you never had to guess at what she was thinking. She loved her Family and Friends as they loved her.
