

Sam was born in Moss Point, Mississippi, on November 19, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Dewey Coulson and Helen Page Coulson, his brother and sister, Armand Coulson, and Wanda Ann Crews.
He was a loving husband and dearly loved Daddy (Dey), granddaddy, and great-granddaddy. Sam and Marjorie were married 65 years, and they were active members of Tucker United Methodist Church and the Wesley Fellowship Sunday school class for 58 years. He served in the US Army for six years and had a great love and respect for his country.
Sam enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the lake. He loved to entertain his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with his many train set displays. After retiring, he traveled with Marjorie, played golf, and had adventures, early breakfasts, and dinners with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Coulson, daughters Patricia Hill (Chris), Jayne Thames (Brian), Susan Hughes (Mark), grandchildren Rebecca Dent (Ryan), Brian Hill (Shannon), Sara Shaff (Justin), Hannah Thames, Garrett Hill, Hunter Hughes, Hayley Hughes, great Grandchildren: Hank Dent, Reid Hill, Rhett Hill.
Visitation will be at noon Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Tucker First United Methodist Church, followed by the service at 1:00. Burial will follow at Eternal Hill Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Tucker First United Church.
