Susan B. Foster

Susan is survived by her sisters; Carol Guthrie(Ray) and Ann Foote(Mark); sons; Joey Still(Lisa) and Marshall Still(Rosie); and her grandchildren; Chase Still, Chandler Still and Josephine Still.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband Michael Foster; father Robert Bockmier and mother Betty Bockmier; and her son Wayne Still.

Susan’s family moved to Georgia while she was young. She attended Briarcliff high school, and later received her degree in Nursing from Dekalb College at the age of 47.

Susan was always an artist, and in her 20’s and 30’s when she wasn’t painting she was working as a picture framer, opening her own shop in Snellville for several years, then managing the picture framing shop for Wallpaper Atlanta.

In her 40’s she returned to school to become a nurse, inspired by her sister Ann’s work and her own desire to help and take care of people. She worked as a nurse for 14 years, the last several years as the Medical-surgery charge nurse at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville.

Susan was always quick to make friends, quick to laugh and remained a loyal friend. Her family was her most priceless treasure, remaining close to her parents, her sisters and her children throughout her life.

A visitation for Susan will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cremation, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
