

Thomasine Mae Mueller, Tommye, went to be with our Lord on November 24, 2017, after 93 years filled with travel, painting and the love of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Mueller, and her sister, Patricia Mueller Walichowski.
Tommye is survived by her nieces and nephews, Charles (Debbie) Walichowski and family; Mary (Tedd) Walichowski Anastas and family; Alice Walichowski Sokoloski and family and John (Miranda) Walichowski and family.
Tommye was born on February 13, 1924, in Hamilton, OH. She moved to Decatur as a young child. She graduated from the University of Alabama and received her Masters from the University of Georgia. She taught art for many years at Grady High School.
Tommye was a member of Delta Zeta for 75 years; a sustaining sister of Alpha Delta Kappa; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Star, Jamestown Society and several others. Tommye had continued her love of art and as recently as October won a blue ribbon and Best in Class at the Brazoria County Fair for her art.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2nd at 2pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA. Family members will receive guests beginning at 1pm prior to the service.
