Adrian L. Arroyo, 61, of Tucson, Arzona, joined our Lord on April 18th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelina Arroyo and his father, Cristino Arroyo; mother and father-in-law, Jessie and Antonio Gomez; brother-in-law, Albert Gomez; sister-in-law Elsa Estrada; and niece Shanti Gomez.
He is survived by Natalia, his loving wife of 31 years; his son, Joe Mendola (Casie); stepmother Irma Arroyo; half-brothers Aldo (Paola) and Cris Arroyo; cousin Jose Melendez; brothers-in-law Alfred (Blanca) and Abraham (Eva) Gomez; sister-in-law Angie Odiaga; sister-in-law Alice Lisalda (Joe); brother-in-law Antonio Gomez (Carmen); sister-in-law Elizabeth Corral (Ernie); sister-in-law Grace Gomez; numerous nieces & nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Cinnamon and Sugar.
Adrian was born in Heidelberg, West Germany on November 7th, 1960, to the proud parents Angelina and Cristino Arroyo. Being from a military family, he traveled and lived in many states. His final move was to Tucson, Arizona where he attended Rincon High School and graduated in 1978.
After high school he continued his education and began a career in printing by trade and security systems at Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon. It was here that he met Natalia and they married in 1991, where they had 31 beautiful years of marriage.
After 29 years of dedicated service, he came to his decision that he would retire on December 1st, 2015. It was with mixed emotions that because of health issues he decided it was time. He loved his job, loved interacting with others including the wonderful people he worked with, and held deep gratitude for the years he spent with the company.
His plans for the next chapter of his life were to do home projects and travel with his beautiful wife, Natalia. Adrian and Natalia were able to take several wonderful trips and cruises before his illness intensified.
Adrian was a very kind, giving and generous soul as the word “no” was never in his vocabulary. He made friends wherever he went; he was always willing to help anyone in need and would literally give the shirt off his back. He was such a positive old soul that no matter who he spoke with or met, no one was a stranger. He made anyone he came in contact with feel as if they were a part of the family right away.
Adrian had a passion for hands on projects, including things around the house, his yard, and working on vehicles. He especially loved his favorite SUV - a 1965 International Scout - that sadly he was unable to see completed.
Natalia, family and friends will always love and cherish you Adrian, but know that you are safe within the hands of the Lord as well as with your mom and dad again. Watch over us always.
You will forever be honored, respected and will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace.
