Antonia Anastasia Camella Calamia, better known as "Toni", "Two Tones" or "Two Tons", was taken from this world on December 12, 2013 by a speeding truck who left her on the side of the road. She is survived by her fiancee, Gil, her parents, William and Laura Calamia, Andrea and Kevin Swank, her siblings, Cassandra Allen, Cynthia Calamia, Alison Bass, Crystal Alegria, Aaron Calamia, and Jordan Lederer, her grandparents, 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Born on June 7th, 1989, Toni led an exciting life. From a toddler who managed to dismantle a vacuum cleaner beyond repair with no tools to a teenager who somehow accidentally started a fire in a classroom garbage can to an adult who was able to repair electronics without knowing what she was doing, she built a world around her that kept her happy and satisfied.
Toni loved her family and often helped out where she was needed. She spent a lot of her time visiting her large family and was frequently found playing with her many nieces and nephews. She bonded with the little ones by teaching them to say "Auntie Toni". As she grew up, she often stated that she was going to stay young and often gave her age as "5 years old". With 10 nieces and nephews tackling and tickling her, she taught them how to enjoy their childhood by staying young herself.
Toni also loved what she called her extended family, her friends. She could be relied upon to bring a smile to anyone, no matter what they were going through. Through her jokes and her crazy antics, she made a bad day better. Being a generous person, she helped everyone she could, whether she was asked or not. A long time friend, a new friend or even a stranger. She was not afraid to show her kindness.
Toni was a strong and independant woman who knew her own mind. She had strong beliefs and was unafraid to share them. She had a goal in her life to have a similar relationship as her father and found it in Gil. Sharing Toni's love of music they met in October 2012 at a concert and began to develop a strong bond. Against much opposition from family and friends, she supported Gil's dream of becoming a rapper. She made herself his rock and helped him grow in his music career.
Toni, you will be missed by everyone. We all know that you are continuing your antics wherever you are and that those who are surrounding you now are either enjoying you or are scratching their heads in confusion. We love you
