Antonio Soto Tapia

Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Adelina Tapia, son Arnold Tapia, daughters Merlinda Laturco (Armando) and Anabel Moreno (Rene); Grandchildren Alizianna (Ryan), Benjamin Jr., Elyana, Ricardo, Adelinda; Great-grandchildren Emma, Bella, Lia and Antonio. He is also survived by his siblings, Josephina (Felix), Anna Maria (Juan), Francisca, Irene (Ron), Diane (Ike), and David (Cecilia), along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo and Mercedes Tapia; and his siblings, Raphael, Enrique, Maria, Ramon, Socorro, his niece and nephews.

After dedicating 33 years to ASARCO Mission Complex, Antonio retired in 2001 but never lost his passion for mining. Antonio was a devoted husband, a loving father, an amazing grandfather and a true friend to many. His kindness, generosity, and inspiring love for family and friends will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Please join us in honoring and celebrating Antonio’s life on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Ave. Tucson, AZ, 85706, followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
