

Our mother Aurora Ybarra went to meet our creator peacefully on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her five children and many family members in her beloved home. Aurora was born on March 10, 1933, in Barrio Blue Moon to parents Francisco Romero and Alicia Aguirre.
Preceded in death by her brother Frankie Romero, sisters Celia Ybarra and Alicia Figueroa, sons Jesse Ybarra, Luis Ybarra, and daughter Angie Ybarra Hernandez. Aurora is survived by her children Carol Moreno (Joe), Valentin Ybarra, Rebecca Ybarra, Dolores Diaz, Ruben Ybarra, and her daughter in-law Jeri Ybarra. She is also survived by her siblings Jimmy Romero (Terry), Ramon Romero, Frank Romero, and sister Mary Helen Romero.
Our mother referred to her family as her “Tribe” leaving a legacy of many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren, with one great great granddaughter expected in May.
Our mother worked at the Latin American Club for many years and retired from ABM as a supervisor for janitorial services. Having lived a long life (90 years) our mother was very proud to have left this life with all her plumbing as she would always remind us.
May our mother rejoice in the Big Casino in the sky with all our ancestors, “Dance Rory Dance” your legacy will live on until eternity, rest in paradise our Sweet Mother, Nana and Abuelita.
A visitation for Aurora will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a rosary and service from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
