Barbara Alvarez, 76, born June 5, 1949 passed away in her home in Tucson, Arizona on December 23, 2025. She is survived by her brother Daniel Alvarez (Carmen), sister Veronica Balanda (Mike), nephew Daniel Alvarez (Angela), nephew Phillip Alvarez (Dawn), and nephew Matt Balanda (Jessica).
She is loved by her great nephews and nieces: Samuel Alvarez, Joshua Alvarez, Nicole Alvarez, Ava Alvarez, Alex Alvarez, Michael Alvarez, Zephaniah Balanda, Martin Valenzuela, and Isiah Valenzuela.
Barbara devoted her life to Jesus Christ and teaching others the good news of the Gospel. She spent her life caring for others including her mother Amalia, who preceded her in death. Barbara was very creative and loved making jewelry and volunteering with the church.
Now that Barbara is absent from her earthly body, we are confident that she is present with the Lord Jesus Christ. Her memorial service is planned for Friday, January 23rd, 2026, at 10:00am at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn: 5401 S. Park Ave Tucson, Arizona 85706.
