Barbara was born in Chicago and established herself there before relocating to build a good life in St. Louis, and later again in Tucson. Barbie, as some called her, had a sweet temperament and made friends wherever she went, keeping existing friendships over time and distance. She enjoyed success in her marketing career in local television, most recently with KOLD-TV in Tucson, where she retired. Barbara always had a close relationship with her mother and missed her greatly after she passed in 2005. Though divorced, Barbara maintained a warm relationship with her step-daughter Courtenay. Later, she lived happily in Tucson for many years with Gregg, her long-time partner, and mourned his loss in 2018. Barbara was always strongly bonded with her animal companions through her life and was a doting mother to her doggies: Brandy, Tiffany, and Bella. Among many other things, we will fondly remember the beautiful backyard gardens she created, her love of watching sports, and laughing together over a nice glass of wine.
Barbara is survived by her loving nieces Linda Carlson and Dawn (Troy) Roddy, extended family, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her father Charles, mother Helen, and brother Harold.
