Barbara went home to be with her Savior on February 8, 2012.
Born March 29, 1927 in Illinois, she moved to Indiana where she met and married, Henry V. Hayden in 1944 while working at Camp Atterbury outside of Columbus, Indiana. In 1962 Barbara and Henry moved to Tucson, Arizona where Henry started the Hayden Electric Company that became Hemco Electric.
Her joys were her church, women’s bible studies, hosting missionary families, Christian Women’s Club and capturing the southwest in her watercolors.
She was a spirited and elegant woman, loved by those who call her wife, Mom, Nana, sister, friend.
Proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, Henry V. Hayden. She is survived by her brother John Beal of Indiana, daughter Jane (Curtis) Cicotte, Phoenix; sons Mark (Sara) Hayden, Prescott; John (Linda) Hayden, Phoenix; ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at The Journey (First Evangelical Free Church), 4700 N. Swan Rd., Tucson, AZ 85718 on February 18, 2012 at 1:30pm. Reception to follow.
