

Barbara was born in Janesville, WI, to Robert and Beth Brady. When she was 12, the family moved to Tucson, where she attended Catalina Junior High and was in the first graduating class of Catalina High school. Barbara was the eldest of 11 children, including three sets of twins. They were truly the "Brady Bunch" and were featured in a prominent milk ad campaign.
She married her first husband, Gerald Hull, in 1957, and they had two children, Cynthia and Jeffrey. They moved to Pinetop, AZ, in 1971, where Barbara bar tended for many years. After the death of her second husband, Claude Whitney, in 1986, she moved back to Tucson and worked in the convenience store business until her retirement in 2007. In 2008 she began working for Tucson Unified School District as a crossing guard and was named AAA Arizona’s Pima County Crossing Guard of the Year in 2015.
Barbara was a strong and independent person her whole life. She was a very efficient manager, and strict yet very generous and kind to employees. She enjoyed meeting new people, and could strike up a conversation with a stranger and walk away knowing that person's whole life story. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and shopping. She was a big fan of country music, especially Willie Nelson.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Buhrig of Klamath Falls, OR, her son and daughter-in- law Jeffrey and Julie Hull, grandchildren Kayla and Jordyn Bryant, Austyn and Wyatt Hull, and great grandchildren Rhylee, Eli and Michael Jeffrey, all of Litchfield Park, AZ. She is further survived by brother Mike Brady and sister and brother-in-law Teri and Tom Kinzer of Tucson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special and cherished friends include Don and Linda Swank and Shirley Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beth Brady; six brothers, Bill, Doug, Rick, Tom, Chuck and Steve Brady; and two sisters, Susan Haggerty and Patricia Laskowski."
