passed away March 31, 2016. She
was born in Lexington Kentucky on
August 18, 1939 to Frances and
Sidney Lowenthal. Betty attended
the University of Kentucky.
She was married to Harold Shapiro
for 54 years. She was preceded in
death by her parents, her brother,
Joseph and her son, James Michael Shapiro.
She is survived by Lisa Shapiro Lyon (David)
of Houston, Texas; grandchildren,
Jeremy, Adam, Abigail and Emma.
Graveside Services will be held at
East Lawn Palms Cemetery on
Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.
Rabbi David Lyon officiating.
